Conference Centers
The convention business is one of the fastest growing industries in America. Convention centers are required to have advanced capabilities to compete in this marketplace. Cutting-edge facilities like the Atlantic City Convention Center, Baltimore Convention Center, and the Opryland Hotel and Convention Center know that it requires a vast amount of flexibility to attract conventions to their facilities. The MediaMatrix has provided the flexibility to program audio systems with RoomLink™, in addition to maintaining high fidelity audio.

Corporate
Corporations demand sophisticated communication technologies but don´t want to slow down the process of getting the job done. Due to its software-based nature, MediaMatrix communicates with a variety of multimedia control systems. These systems provide simple control of multiple devices, such as video projectors, tape players, lights, and audio systems. Peavey developed PASHA™, a software-based serial communications adapter to interface with third-party control systems in a more straightforward manner than ever before.
In addition to multimedia control, corporate facilities are starting to demand surround-sound. Advanced audio designers can provide a variety of surround-sound methods using MediaMatrix technology.

Government Facilities
In 1994 MediaMatrix replaced racks and racks of sound equipment in the U.S. Senate chamber. Since that time, governments have been installing MediaMatrix in Parliament houses all over the world in such places as Australia, China, New Zealand, Germany and Canada.

Large governments are not the only legislative groups taking advantage of the flexibility and great sound of a MediaMatrix System. State, city and local governments are adding systems as well.

The standard integration of automatic microphone mixers and TTL outputs of the MediaMatrix has led to many installations in courtrooms, This technology has simplified video arrangement systems, where potentially dangerous individuals can take an active part in their trials without being security risks in the courtroom. When the judge or the defendant talks, the video is switched so that all can participate.

Houses of Worship
Today's worship centers are required to provide not only the warmth of traditonal services but also the demands of a concert hall requiring advanced multimedia presentations. It was once difficult for the worship center to afford an audio system as flexible as was required form night to night. Now, MediaMatrix is everthing a music director or a sound technician has always wanted: a sound system that can be completely reconfigured at the push of a button.

Performing Arts Centers
The Liverpool Institute of the Performing Arts, Paul McCartney Auditorium, the Sydney Opera House, as well as other prominent performing arts centers demand superior performance from their audio systems. In addition to having superior sound, the systems have to meet the extensive and changing needs of the venues on a nightly basis. The open architecture of both the hardware and the software of the MediaMatrix Mainframe Series provides quick and easy design for each performance. These designs can be saved to a floppy or hard disk for future use, which dramatically reduces set-up time.

Theme Parks
The theme park industry is the standard by which other show-related businesses are judged. Being so advanced, it´s no wonder that the first MediaMatrix® application was the audio processor for a virtual reality ride in Orlando´s best-known park. MediaMatrix has been installed in virtually every major theme park in America, and this trend is quickly spreading around the globe. It seems that you can´t go to a new attraction in the Orlando or Las Vegas area without experiencing the spectacular music, sound effects, and drama delivered by a MediaMatrix system.

Transportation Facilities
The MediaMatrix provides support for the world´s largest transportation communication command centers. Now, PageMatrix, in conjunction with MediaMatrix and CobraNet technology, provides a cost-effective approach to transportation terminal communications. With the native networking in the MediaMatrix, various sub-stations can now be easily monitored and controlled from a central communications center. CobraNet technology provides a way to transmit multiple channels of audio over a wide area. Other special features of the MediaMatrix, such as the Gap Ambient Level Sensor, provide a means for paging levels to be automated, making sure that whether the terminal is full or empty, the audio is always at just the right level. MediaMatrix with PageMatrix is a powerful solution for transportation communications.
