Pitch Shift

Overview

The Pitch Shift device allows the user or external control to change the pitch of processed audio without changing its speed.  It was built to change sound effects played back by a Wave File Player in real time.  However, the Pitch Shift can also be used to raise or lower the pitch of prerecorded music, making it more compatible with the singing range of a vocalist.

Controls

Pitch Shift (Cents)

Allows you to set or raise or lower the pitch.

NOTE:  ±100 Cents is one Semi-Tone and ±1200 Cents is one Octave.  For best fidelity, stay within ±300 Cents.

-6dB

This control determines the shape of the gains during the delay wrap-around splicing.  For pitched material, the splice sounds best with the -6dB enabled.  For unpitched material, the control should be off.  The final setting is determined by what sounds best to the operator.
