Analog BoB Input and Output Wiring and Level Setting

The eight analog audio inputs appear on a "Phoenix" type connector on the back of the unit. The eight audio outputs appear on a separate "Phoenix" type connector on the back of the unit.

When an unbalanced source is connected to a breakout box analog input the Minus and Gnd pins should be tied together.

When feeding unbalanced inputs from a MediaMatrix breakout box analog output, the MINUS and GND pins should be tied. Leaving the MINUS pin unconnected will result in an output level that is reduced by 6 dB.

Note that the A/D channels are not located on the circuit board in numerical order from left to right. They are from right to left: 2, 1, 4, 3, 6, 5, 8, 7.

Note that unlike the A/D channels the D/A channels are located on the circuit board in numerical order from left to right.

Control I/O Connections

The eight control inputs appear on a "Phoenix" type connector on the back of the unit. The input impedance is 20KW. The BoB is protected against excessive voltage applied at the inputs, including static discharge.
