CAB 16i

Purpose

The CAB 16i device provides analog entry points for audio signals. The CABs 16 analog inputs are transmitted on the network on 2 network bundles. This network bundles can be received with the CobraNet Interface using the CobraNet Input Device.

Controls

CAB Link

LED on indicates a valid control link between the MediaMatrix frame and the CAB.

Hardware ID

The 4 digit hex id of the CAB. This needs to match the switch settings on the front of the CAB, and also must be unique for the whole system. Acceptable values are 0001 - FFFF.  This setting has nothing to do with the bundle assignment (other than to identify the CAB that the "Network Bundle" control applies to).

Valid Hardware ID

LED on indicates that the Hardware ID entered is within the valid range of available Hardware IDs (0001 - FFFF).

Network Bundle

Enter the network bundle that the CAB 16i should be transmitting on.  Bundles 1-255 are multicast (broadcast to all) and 256-32767 are unicast (one-to-one broadcast).  Unicast (256-32767) bundles are recommended to prevent network congestion.

The upper section's Network Bundle controls the first 8 inputs (Jacks 1-8) and which bundle they are transmitted upon.  Likewise, the lower section's Network Bundle controls the second 8 inputs (Jacks 9-16).

Transmitting

LED on indicates that the CAB is currently transmitting the specified network bundle.

Mute

Mutes the analog audio on the respective input channel.

Input Gain

Sets the analog gain for a respective channel.

Full-Scale Sensitivity

The sensitivity for a respective channel. This setting corresponds to a full-scale digital signal.
