Overload

Purpose

The Overload Indicator is actually a Signal Presence indicator with a default threshold level setting of +35dB. The overload indicator does nothing more than detect a full scale digital signal and as such it is not completely reliable in detecting an overload condition. An overload condition is most reliably detected at the point in the signal path where it is generated. MediaMatrix devices generally contain an Overload indicator if the possibility of generating an overload exists in a device.
