Adjusting the system

Once the system has been compiled, and provided it is hooked up to hardware, it can now pass audio, and the controls can now be modified.  As with any sound system, you must now adjust the parameters on each device in the sound system.  You can only adjust settings if you have compiled the system.  If you add more devices after compiling these cannot be adjusted until you compile again.

Following a compile the system is automatically placed into Control mode.  You may enter the Control Mode at any time by using selecting Control Mode from the Mode menu, from the right button speed menu or by typing Ctrl+G.  When you enter the Control Mode the mouse pointer becomes a hand.

Double click on a device to open up it's control surface.  The control surface (a child window) will now appear in the window.

The control surface window will normally appear just below the device that it is associated with.  To re-locate a control surface move the mouse pointer over it's title bar and drag the control surface window to a new location.  A child window (such as a control surface window) can be set so that it cannot be moved.  This is accessed in Edit Mode by left clicking on the icon in the top left corner of the child window, and selecting "Window Properties".

You can repeat the above process for each device you want to re-locate.  By doing so you can arrange the control surface windows so that they do not overlap when opened or to accommodate any other display orientation you desire.
