Adjusting Controls

Controls may only be adjusted in Control Mode.  Adjusting a control will have no effect unless the control is in the Active View.

Gesturing

To gesture a knob or fader, move the mouse pointer over the control you would like to adjust, it will become highlighted with a red outline.  Click and hold the left mouse button and move the mouse.  An up or right movement of the mouse increases the control value, while a left or downward movement decreases the control value.  The control will move up and down with the mouse movement. When the control is at the correct setting release the mouse button and the control setting will stay where it is.

To gesture a button, move the mouse pointer over the control you would like to adjust, it will become highlighted with a red outline.  Click left mouse button and the button will be 'pressed'.

High Resolution Gesturing

If the right mouse button or the shift key is pressed while gesturing a control, the control enters "High Resolution" mode and responds with approximately 10 times greater resolution to the mouse movement.  This allows you to accurately enter fractional dB gain, for example, without resorting to typing in the value.

Typing

Select the control or text box and type in the precise setting you desire.  Press the enter key and the fader will adjust to the new setting.  Time parameters can be entered and support the following units: sample (z), second (s), meter (mtr), foot (ft).  To change a time parameter's units without changing its value, type z, s, mtr or ft.  To change a time parameter's unit and value, type Xz, Xs, Xmtr or Xft where X is a numeric value.
