Creating More Presets or SubPresets

If you need more Presets or SubPresets than are provided in the device menu, you can easily make more by duplicating an existing preset or subpreset and editing its properties.  Choose the Algorithm tab and note the Algorithm String field. For a preset this field will contain "preset N", for a SubPreset it will contain "subpreset N" where N is the number of the preset.  Simply change this number to the desired value.  It is a good idea to change the text of the object (click on the Text tab) to match the number you typed in the algorithm string.

The numbers do not have to be contiguous, so you could for example use SubPresets numbered in the twenties for input processing settings, SubPresets in the thirties for Mixer settings and SubPresets in the fourties for output processing settings.

If you accidentally make two presets with the same number or two SubPresets with the same number the compile will fail with the message "some device has been used more than once" and one of the presets will be crosshatched in blue.  You are allowed to have a Preset and a SubPreset with the same number, however.

The valid range for Preset numbers is 0 through 9999, where 0 is referred to as the Default Preset.

The valid range for SubPreset numbers is 1 through 9999.
