Hardware Base Address
This sets the base address within MediaMatrix, that tells the software how you have the DIP switches set on your DSP cards. Click on this link for more information on how to set up the DIP switches on the DSP cards. This step is imperative in order for the software to communicate properly with the MediaMatrix hardware. You will notice that there is down arrow button, that opens a scroll window to allow you to select the base address for your system. To the right of this, is a text indicator that says "DIP Switches", and show s a string of 1's, 0's, and X's. The first four digits show how to set the base address on the first four switches of the DSP card. A 1 indicates the switch is in the "ON" position (as labeled on the DSP card), a 0 indicates the "Off" position for the switch. The base address (the first four switches) should be the same for every card in your system.
The next four switches (DIP switches 5 through 8) are different for each card, and indicate the card number (I/O address) for each DSP card. Up to sixteen different cards (two MediaMatrix frames full of cards) can be addressed by a combination of these four switches. For instructions on how to set these switches, follow this link.
Hardware Failure - Automatically recompile X times:
This allows you to specify how many times the compiler will attempt to recompile should the compile process fail due to a hardware error encountered during the compile process.
