MediaMatrix System Requirements

Hardware

A range of MediaMatrix systems are available, based on how many DSP cards are used in the system and which version of the MediaMatrix software you are running.

For MediaMatrix 3.x, you must use a Peavey MediaMatrix Frame, which is a Pentium III (Miniframes) or Pentium III/4 (Mainframes) based single board computer certified for use with Microsoft Windows 2000 coupled to a passive motherboard, as well as a hard disk controller, and slots for a graphics cards, and other optional plug in cards (network cards, and a modem). The computer includes the hard disk system, a CD-ROM drive, a floppy drive, and a dual redundant hot swap-able power supply.

The keyboard, mouse, and monitor are not included, and must be supplied by user.

From a technical standpoint, the following are the minimum hardware requirements for running MediaMatrix:

MediaMatrix mainframe:

Pentium II Processor min. 300MHz

64Mbyte RAM min. (or OS recommended minimum)

View file design on a computer other than the MediaMatrix Mainframe:

Intel Pentium, Pentium II, III, 4 or AMD K6 or Athlon processor, minimum 120MHz

32Mbyte RAM minimum

Remote control (RAMM) on an external computer (other than the MediaMatrix Mainframe):

Intel Pentium, Pentium II, III, 4 or AMD K6 or Athlon processor, minimum 120MHz

Windows 95 with Winsock 2.0 upgrade† ( the Winsock 2.0 patch can be downloaded from Microsoft.

 

Note: You will not be able to use the PASHA serial protocol from Windows 95, 98 or Me, since that feature requires NT, 2000 or xp drivers.  Windows 95 is not supported.
